foreword

Happy New Year. I pray you had a refreshing Christmas and were able to enjoy time with family, slow down, and be renewed in God’s presence. As I look back over 2025, I am filled with gratitude for all that Jesus has done among us at The Lighthouse.
We have seen people saved, baptised, discipled, and added into community. Our life groups have grown in depth and in number. Sunday after Sunday, we have watched people walk through the doors hungry for God, and on some weeks we even had queues forming outside as people waited to enter the service. God’s hand has been with us, and it has been a joy to witness His grace at work in so many lives.
Alongside this growth, we have received several prophetic words about planting another congregation. We have been carrying this in prayer for some time and believe that this year could be the year God is calling us to take that step of faith. Planting a church is not about expanding a brand. It is about being obedient to the Holy Spirit, reaching people who may never walk into our current location, and fulfilling the Great Commission Jesus has given us.
This 21-day devotional has been created to help align our hearts with God’s will as a church preparing to plant. Over the next three weeks, we will focus on Scripture, prayer, fasting, and hearing the voice of the Holy Spirit. My prayer is that these devotions will stir faith, build character, and form us into a people ready to be sent. As we lean in, may the Lord prepare us to advance, to multiply, and to step boldly into what He is asking of us.
Let us enter this fast with expectancy, knowing that God is preparing us for more. May we be a church that listens, a church that obeys, and a church willing to be sent wherever He leads.

7-day devotional

The Midnight Cry: Are You Ready?

Hey family! It has been 227 days since we ended our 21 days of fasting in January, where we focused on “This is Church” and studied the seven churches in Revelation. Now, the Elders feel it is necessary to call a 7-day fast this September, to ready us for the midnight cry, inspired by the parable of the wise and foolish virgins in Matthew 25:1–13. We believe this fast is a call to awaken, to keep our lamps filled with oil, and to prepare ourselves afresh for the return of Christ.

This Is Church

We're kicking off 2025 with something special - 21 days of seeking God together through prayer and fasting. Why? Because we're hungry for more. More of His wisdom, more of His direction, and more of His presence in our lives.
Here's what's coming: we're diving into the seven churches in Revelation (trust me, it's way more relevant than you might think!). We'll spend three days with each church, unpacking Jesus' words to them and - this is the cool part - discovering what it means for us today.
